Photo: New Claims of Bigfoot in Pennsylvania
whtm - A Dauphin County, Pa. man, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he may have caught images of Bigfoot with his flip-cam.He says he was hiking the Appalachian Trail with his wife back in October when he came across what looked like a fort. He started filming, and says that's when he started hearing strange noises."You can actually hear it go 'huh-ah,' like a monkey. I mean, deep in the lungs," he said. "I panicked. The sounds were loud and they freaked me out, to be honest with you. I told my wife we need to get out of here. There's something up in these woods."When he got home, he saw a strange image on the video. "Here's this thing standing in the middle of the trail," says the man. "My wife said, 'What is that?' I said, 'I don't know.'"The video has captured the attention of Bigfoot hunter Tom Biscardi. Tom is the CEO and Founder of the company "Hunting For Bigfoot."Tom says he's passionate about Bigfoot, because he has had sightings himself. He showed us evidence which, h

Mailbag: Human Adult-Sized Flying Cryptid Near Pacific, Missouri
We were in Pacific, MO, tonight around 11:30 PM and noticed a massive flying creature, not once but three times. My son even noticed it on his own the third time. We were near a large cliff/mountain with some type of cave openings. We don't live in the area, I can say for sure we turned onto a road called Viaduct Road, went past a fire station and continued on for about 1 mile before we first noticed it. It was brownish/grey and the body portion was at least the size of a large adult human. This creature was tracking us - in a circle pattern. We were driving an Escalade with the blue color headlights and this may have cause interest in us. The third time around we viewed it in front of the vehicle, around the driver side and around towards the rear of the vehicle. The factory tinted windows did help it vanish into the sky from out point of view.
Please understand when we could see it the range must have been about 150 feet in the air, not more than 250 feet. The distance

Continued Controversy Over Yowie Sighting in Pilliga Forest, NSW
coonabarabran - A recent sighting of what appeared to be a hairy creature lurking in the Pilliga has Baradine residents wondering if there is some truth to the primeval legend of the yowie. Although the image was fleeting and nobody could describe exactly what they saw, the incident adds mystery to a story that has its roots in Aboriginal folklore. The contentious and potentially scary incident occurred late in the evening of Wednesday, 26 August, when two buses containing high school student members of the Regional Children’s Choir were returning to Baradine from a camp-fire evening at Odell’s Crossing.
Coincidentally, the youngsters had been listening to some hair-raising Pilliga tales related to them by local residents, Roy Matthews, Ronnie Magann and Pat Madden. The purpose of the excursion, organised by National Parks & Wildlife, was to give the Moorambilla choir group a feel for the forest. Composer and musician, Dan Walker, has been working with the kids preparing

Searching For Bigfoot In Dolly Sods Wilderness Area
wvpubcast - Have you ever been in the woods and wondered what could be there, lurking behind the trees? One group thinks they know.
On a cool but sunny October day, Dolly Sods is beautiful. The sun shines through the trees and off the endless boulder fields.
But in its endless wilderness, Dolly Sods is a little bit spooky, too. It’s a still, quiet place. And according to Billy Willard, it’s a great place to search for Sasquatch.
“Typically we go out and visit sites where there’s been previous sighting reports,” Willard said. “We do get encounters called in to a hotline that we have, and we go out and we’ll research those areas looking for evidence such as footprints, strange stick tree structures and that kind of thing.”
Willard is the founder of Sasquatch Watch of Virginia, a group made up of Bigfoot enthusiasts who collect information about the legendary being in their spare time.

Calcutta Residents Claim Coelacanth Fished Out of Ganges River
Is this a Coelacanth or a Grouper?
austriantimes.at - Indian paleontologists are heading to Calcutta in West Bengal after locals claimed to have fished a prehistoric Coelacanth out of the water.
Coelacanths were believed to have been extinct since the end of the Cretaceous period until the first specimen was found off the east coast of South Africa in 1938.
Since then they have been found in the Comoros, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Madagascar.
But the experts are trying to work out how what would be the biggest ever Coelacanth specimen weighing 320 kilos came to be floating down the Ganges.
The fish, eight feet long and three feet wide, had a cut on its stomach and some of the fins had been torn free.
Official stands by kids who raised the alarm saying: "Initially we thought that a big sea animal was coming to devour us, it was only when we got out the water we realised it was dead."

Ogopogo Spotted on Google Earth? - Another Perspective

Enhanced satellite photo of Ogopogo from Google. Flipper comparisons from pictures from Wikipedia, plesiosaurs and Loch Ness monster

"Who would-a thunk it" that the quest for Lake Monsters would be given a significant boost by Google! This morning, Lon's postings including a marvelous satellite photo of what could be Ogopogo! It is difficult to determine a complete outline for the animal in the enlarged picture because of glare from the water.
To clarify the picture for my own satisfaction, I brought the color image into Photoshop, cropped down to the main shape, and turned the picture to grayscale. Then I hit the image with adjustments for contrast and brightness.
The animal, and indeed it is an animal because it exhibits bilateral symmetry, is viewed with its port side towards the land.
What shows up very clear is a pair of cresc

Reports of a Monster Snake in Rumford Canal, Maine
OK, snake owners. Check your cages. Anybody missing a 17-foot-long boa constrictor?
On Wednesday morning, two people contacted Rumford police dispatcher Sue Milligan and told her they'd seen a monster snake entering the canal system off Canal Street behind Bartash's store.
Milligan said that based on the descriptions of the reptile, she believed it to be a 17-foot-long boa constrictor.
Because an apparent large snake sighting isn't a police matter, Milligan said she alerted the Maine Warden Service.
"Once it gets into the water, it's not our problem," Milligan said.
Wardens will be investigating, spokeswoman Deborah Turcotte said early Wednesday evening via e-mail.
"The Maine Warden Service has received a report of an apparent large snake in the river, and a broad description of where it may be," Turcotte said.
"If anyone has detailed information of a specific location where it may be for an ext
