On Nov. 15, 1966, two young couples from Point Pleasant, Roger and Linda Scarberry, and Steve and Mary Mallette told police they saw a large white creature whose eyes "glowed red" when the car headlights picked it up. They described it as a "flying man with ten foot wings" following their car while they were driving in an area of town known as 'TNT', the site of a former World War II munitions plant. During the next few days, other people reported similar sightings, including two volunteer firemen who said it was a "large bird with red eyes".

Mason County Sheriff George Johnson commented that he believed the sightings were due to an unusually large heron locally termed a "shitepoke". Contractor Newell Partridge told Johnson that when he aimed a flashlight at a creature in a nearby field its eyes glowed "like bicycle reflectors", and blamed buzzing noises from his television set and the disappearance of his German Shepherd dog on the creature. Two Florida witnesses watched a bright light moving at high speed that turned and appeared to move toward their location, revealing a disc-shaped object about 11:45 p.m. on November 12, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"The brightness of it went down and all you we could see was this thing flying in the sky and were trying to see if looked like a plane or something like it," the reporting witness stated. "It was kinda a disc-like shape and it had lights but it wasn't flashing the way planes do."

When the object was nearly overhead, it appeared to slow down and then turned east.

"When it was closer to my house it got slower in speed and it kinda turned East and went in that direction at the same slow speed."

MUFON CMS - Chicago, IL - 4/5/2010 - unedited: Looking over to the western sky in Chicago at night in April. I noticed a very small but bright flashing light of colors. I grabbed my 8MP camera with a 200MM Telephoto lens and took a few shots. I did my best to keep still but maybe the slight shift is me or the object. Either way the color are clear and the shapes are unusual. Didn't seem right to me when I checked these out on the computer. Took me awhile to share but I hope this helps.

MUFON CMS - Northern Territory, AU - 11/6/2010 - unedited: Just after sunset, sitting on the deck of a holiday house at Lake Bennett in Australia's (vast and sparsely populated) Northern Territory. I was taking some photographs of my family relaxing - I did not use a flash because I wanted to get that grainy-dusky feel to my photos (I use a cheap little digital camera for happy-snaps, nothing fancy). As I lined up the photo and pressed the button I was momentarily blinded by light - I thought my flash had gone off by mistake although the light was brighter than the usual flash. I reviewed the photo and saw the bright light on the image. My daughter who was fishing said she hadn't noticed anything and neither did my husband, who was cooking at the time and there was no-one else around to ask. Near this area however, is a place called Acacia Hills where there have apparently been many sightings of UFOs over the years.

After seeing the image I immediately sensed that I had photographe
